When I install the CRD-300UV CPS version 1.1, Windows 10 finds a virus.
Is anyone else seeing this and is it a cause for concern?

If you use Defender it is normal. It just trigger false virus, so bypass you antivirus or put an exception for the path and program. |

Latest version of CPS is 2.1 which mean nothing to me as the number does not change with newer version release. We can't really know by the file name that you received the CPS because Kydera have a weird way of numbering the Software and Firmware Bin. Instead of using a simple numbering like CPS_V2.1.x they all release they CPS under V2.1 for file name which is wrong. Internally when the CPS is open you have the real version number which follow the standard numbering of the industry.  So following the industry standard for 9.1.126 would be 9 is Major Release, 1 is Minor Rel, and 86 or 112 or 126 is patch revision to fix issues. Same would apply to their advertised rel 2.1.x 2 is Major Release, 1 is Minor Rel, x would be patch revision but is missing to let people know that is it different from the last one. You look at the top left corner and the real version .  Actual Version of the CPS V2.1 BER GPS is in fact 9.1.126 Previous Version 2.1 was 9.1.112 Original Version 1.1 was 9.1.86 So to answer your question i work only by the internal number which the latest is 9.1.126 |

(Snip) So to answer your question i work only by the internal number which the latest is 9.1.126 You may want to change the boards front page area for downloads “Customer Programming Software (CPS) Latest V1.1” The version of the software does change as far as file name goes which is important in the context of the original question, no one should be using the 1.1 package. |
