hi daniel, have a couple of questions, i programmed my radio to the way you had shown was working great on 91 but nothing coming up on my hotspot or dashboard any clues, the other question is fired the radio up this morning press the ptt in and its coming up as bs failed.... BS Failed mean your Repeater or Hotspot is not responding. I had same issue on my Repeater and i try with CDR300 i had BS failed. so i took my mobile and MD380 to try and had same thing long beep that RPT is not available. I have to reboot Pi-Star of the repeater and then it worked. It is like putting a fake Frequency in your channel and result will be the same. HI Daniel,i'm new user from Italy-I understand if i want to work in simplex mode (no repeater) to listen commercial communications the RX slot need to be set to OFF?-It's correct? So i just complete the RX list with my interesting TG and CC-I will try to leave only the TX slot to on (no modify TG). Thank you for this fantastic forum! '73 Mario IU2MWK

I often have such a problem also with MMDVM/PI-Star based repeaters or hotspots, especially with the "new" boards. We have an "old" MMDVM based repeater with PI-Star, external modem on an Arduino board. This one runs perfect in combination with an old Kenwood TKR-850. My dual-hat-hotspot often don't want to hear my TYT or Kydera radios (BS timeout) while the Motorola DR3000 based repeater accept all radios everytime.

My repeater has been running for years without problem and started this issue 6 months ago. i re-tweak the audio 3 weeks ago and it was back on the air on RX. Last night i rebooted twice the Pi and does not accept my PTT with my TYT MD380, but same radio works ok on my 2 hotspots

Hi Daniel, the problem is the Pi-star-I suggest to perform "upgrade and update" in your pi star software, check the version of dashboard also (upper right)-When it worked you check the "BER" in the dashbord?

Firs i need to know if your channel/zone you are programming is for Repeater or here is a sample of my setup. Note that hotspot simplex is always TS2 and CC1 bot to work you have to put RX TS=off and TX TS=2 to work properly. Repeater is ok What if there is no "OFF" option for the RX TIME? All I have is Slot1....Slot2...and ON.....any idea's?? Thx

Hi K6QYF,you have installed the new firmware version (last date 21th August),check the changelog : there's not option "OFF" but it's replaced by ON The correct option are ON..Slot1 and Slot2- Select the option ON (RX Time) if you have a channel in simplex mode.

Hello everybody! I have a problem like this: In the DMR reception mode, I often stop hearing the reception. I change the channel, audibility resumes. This happens often. Silence begins during the conversation of the correspondent. If the channel is not ready, then the reception is restored at an undefined time. This is not the case in analog mode.

We were suggested to TURN OFF TOT. It looks like helps, even not fixing the issue.

If the display is put in "single" mode the reception is correct. You need to go to Menu, localset, displaymode and activate S / D mode. It not should, but at least it works.
