Report of observed anomalies/wishes for RT73 (CPS 9.1.175, FW 109E.D4.EARSAB.007):
CPS
-It does not make sense that the “GPS Channel” box appears in DMR SERVICE, since it should be programmed independently for each channel in the APRS column (last column of each channel).
-It does not make sense that the “GPS Interval” box appears in DMR SERVICE, since it should be programmed for all channels in the “APRS” section, in the “APRS Auto Tx Intervals (s)” box.
For these reasons, it is still necessary to configure a channel in “DRM SERVICE”, “GPS Channel” box. The APRS DIGITAL signal will always be transmitted on that channel, and the radio will not use the channel configured in APRS, in Report Channel, which has been programmed in the last column of channel configuration.
Example:
I want the radio report my DIGITAL GPS position every 60 seconds through “Report Channel 1” (Current channel, TG 214999; Slot 2, Private Call; PTT Off).
I want this because I go with my vehicle and I have to change repeaters as I lose coverage. Therefore, I want the APRS Digital position to be transmitted by the repeater that I have tuned in at all times, automatically.
You should not select anything at the DMR SERVICE Page (excepts GPS ON), because all the channels programed in the radio already have the instruction that they have to use the “Report Channel 1”.
If left Off, the radio will NOT transmit the APRS Digital position. This is incorrect. The order programmed in APRS Section must have priority.
If a channel and a GPS Interval are programmed, the radio broadcasts GPS position ONLY on the programmed “GPS Channel”(ONLY FOR THE DIGITAL MEMORIES). This makes no sense.
-The promiscuous mode does not allow monitoring the two Slots, only the channel slot that is selected.
-It would be desirable to be able to import / export channels and Talkgroups to .csv files to facilitate the editing and creation of Codeplugs -The CPS is more stable.
-It would be desirable that the "Group Call Hang Tome" and the "Private call Hang Time" had the option of being able to select the time in "Infinity". 7000 ms is a very short time, in case you want to use a TG programmed sporadically.
FIRMWARE
-Sometimes, when there is a conversation in progress, the VOL / SQ button does not respond. It is not an electronic or mechanical problem, it is a small software crash.
-It would be highly desirable to implement a RESET function (for example, turn on while holding down the P2 key), to clean up the bits in memory after doing a fw update or codeplug reprogramming.
-If you have selected a repeater shift in VFO mode, if you move the dial, you must select the offset again, it is canceled.
-Analog APRS: If you have selected analog APRS and you are on a DMR channel, Analog APRS is not sent.
-The sporadic blockages that sometimes occurred have decreased.
-It would be great if in promiscuous mode there was a key that saved the TG and Slot that are being received to be able to respond quickly to the same slot and TG when doing PTT.
-It would be great to be able to select the rotary knob optionally as volume adjustment
-It would be interesting to be able to program the up and down keys of the micro to be able to change the channel. Currently, I do not see that they have any function.
