hi, I don't understand if a problem with the codeplug (but I don't think so!) or with my radio:
- on a radio link as well as hearing the news of my country (which is what I have planned) I also hear other local news programs .... how is it possible ? and I have not activated the promiscus mode,is a radio defect, a BUG  ?
but also to you when it turns off and on it makes a strange noise (like a "fast" BRRR ...) very annoying in the speaker, only in mine or to you too?

ONLY my radio have this strange NOISE only when power on and off the radio... i use a power supply switching .

Hi Rudy
In your CPS, under Prompt Tone, Change Profiles to Silent and upload to your radio and report if all strange noises are disappeared.

sorry, not is a tones by they can be heard ONLY by turning the radio on and off, as if they were capacitors that are discharged ... and they can be heard in the speaker, some colleagues say they hear them too! so maybe NOT just my faulty radio?

yes, it is a VERY annoying noise, especially when the radio is turned off ....
looks like a discharging capacitor, hi hi!
A colleague said due to the switching power supply, but then another colleague says it can also be heard in the car !!!
we really hope it can be solved via software with a new FW .... 73

It's not normal ! Mine does not do it. Sounds like a bunch of cheap capacitors in some production runs. Try turning off on an unused channel...and turning back on again...it may be the audio amp powers up last and shuts down first.

Check what Group Receive List (GCL) you have assigned to that channel. If you only want to hear 1 group on that channel, make a GCL with only that 1 group in it, and assign it to that channel. If you assign "none" you will only receive private calls to your radio ID. |
