GPS Interval and Channel should be OFF and ignore those settings from now on. APRS Interval and Digital APRS channels should be set in the APRS tab and then selected for each channel to enable APRS for that channel.

Thanks Dave. I have set the configuration you indicate but it still does not send the digital APRS position frame on the frequency of the channel in use. What version of firmware do you use? I have tried the last version of March of Kydera, with the last version of Retevis, and with the beta version of Kydera of April 12, 109E.D4.EARSAB.007.F136-480, without success. Greetings

I have firmware from April 22nd 2021 and CPS version 9.1.168.
APRS for me works every time and it had only taken be about 5 minutes to setup.. Disabled GPS settings, added APRS channels and assigned those channels to my local repeaters channel. Took the radio to my car and it worked every 30 and 60 seconds.. So long as I could open the repeater.

None or DMR APRS? i have set it up to DMR APRS and i get the Sat Icon (GPS) plus the Flag Icon (Analog APRS) my radio is on Z1 CH1 Hotspot and when it key for Aprs it use Z2 CH5 on my Repeater TS2 . the live log from Repeater is also sending proper format but BrandMeister does not seem to decode. But if i turn off APRS Type to None and in CPS DMR Service i turn on GPS Interval 1min and Chan Z2 ch 5 then it will send APRS OK

I've just added the brandmeister talkgroup to the channels in the APRS tab and set it for one of the local BM repeaters as most of the close ones to me are DMR+ I assume that you have the APRS settings in the Brandmeister SelfCare page set up, if it is working with the old DMR Service GPS settings. A quick test on my 15 minute journey reported my position through Brandmeister to APRS.fi I have my setting as below: CPS > DMR Service > GPS Interval = OFF CPS > DMR Service > GPS Channel = OFF CPS > APRS > Auto TX Interval = 60 seconds CPS > APRS > Channel 3 > Current Channel - Talkgroup 234999 - Slot 2 - Private Call - PTT OFF CPS > Zone > BM Repeater Channel > APRS column set to 3 Radio > Appendix > APRS > APRS Type = DMR APRS Then in Brandmeister SelfCare:- Brand = Chinese Radio APRS Interval = 60 seconds APRS Callsign = MM7DBT-9

Thanks for your info, Dave. I installed the version of fw that you indicated and these are the results: DMR Service: GPS ON, Interval OFF, GPS Channel OFF. In the APRS tab the same configuration that you indicated, but with the Spanish tg 214999. The first day it didn't work out. It sent plots, but they did not appear in aprs.fi. Today, without modifying anything at all, and after 4 hours of travel, it began to send correct position frames, in each of the repeaters that it was selecting. But the indicated speed is always displayed as 2 Km / h. The fw is improving, but it still needs to be perfected. Thanks again, I'll keep watching the behavior of the radio.
You can follow me at aprs.fi EB3BKW-9

The firmware is getting better, it's already much better than when I originally bought the radio.
APRS isn't of real interest to me personally but it's great to see that is starting to work. It's not perfect but it does seem to work at least 90% of the time.
I have noticed that sometimes the radio displays that it sent a packet but the repeater didn't actually receive anything. Not sure if it's due to errors, packet loss or maybe the timeslot was in use at that time.
I'll need to test it on a longer journey in the car although I would have to set the APRS column for each repeater as there's a mix of DMR+ and BM repeaters so I'd need to be sure it was sending to the correct talkgroup. Also I'd like to see how the roaming function works correctly.. it seems it just scans through the zone exactly the same way that the scan list function works, even when it finds a repeater with signal it just puts a message on screen saying "Ok" and then keeps scanning..?

That's right, Dave. roaming and scan use the same list. In Roaming Mode, when it detects active conversation, the screen indicates OK and if you press the PTT immediately, it stays on that channel, depending on how you have configured the SCAN TX MODE box. For me, the best is LAST OPERATED CHANNEL
