Hello everyone: in the help files, in ... CPS_2_12_11 \ Language \ DMR (EN) -help \ help-2 there are some files that refer to "POC", which I don't know what it is, I think it serves to transfer modulation from digital to analog and analog to digital. Does anyone really know what it is for and if it can be activated? From the help-2 file LET010.txt : Users can turn ON or OFF according option to activate according function.
POC to Digital: Once enabled, a POC voice signal received will be processed to digital signal and sent out directly via current digital channel.
On
Enable
Off
Disable
Note: This function is valid only when the current working channel is digital.

I belive the CDR-300UV can't do this. The DR-880UV can.

it seems that these help files were hastily and obscenely imported from elsewhere. there are a lot of extra files and horribly translated. you should not trust everything

POC is used on another radio. It is about voip transmission, like other radios that use 3G and 4G. Without a doubt, this CPS inherits features that the Kydera does not have

Anysecu uses exactly the same CPS for its POC radios (4g, 3g) as Kydera and Retevis, it gives the impression that the CPS is designed by a third company for producers of radio communications equipment. Only changes the config files.

yes it seems so, you see the difference only in the firmware. Using last Retevis CPS with last Kydera firmware, enabling Dual Watch feature is not working, but shown in CPS. With Retevis firmware its working
I dont understand what is the sense to make a competition in developing Kydera and Retevis firmware in different branches, ...

BTW Daniel, can you explain why there is competition in developing Kydera and Retevis firmware in different branches,

Dual Watch
BTW Daniel, can you explain why there is competition in developing Kydera and Retevis firmware in different branches, -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I dont have a Clue , you will have to ask Retevis. Kydera is the Manufacturer and Retevis buy their radio from Kydera with their own name on it. Seem that Retevis have someone that reprogram the CPS with Feature or they simply use the Kydera CPS and they package it with their own logo and new version Number ahead of Kydera to show that they are probably better but i dont think. Right now the latest from the Link you have sent is 9.1.170 for RT73 V21.1.26 and Kydera latest official is 9.1.152 for V2.12.11 There is a new one that came out for Kydera which is under test with a new APRS module that will be 9.1.159 for V2.21.2.3 and this latest CPS out on Feb 3rh it does not even have the Dual-Watch in it. So my guess it is an addition from Retevis but they dont have the APRS module.
To me there should be only one CPS from the Manufacturer, but all the dealers that sell the same radio under different brand try to beat the other company. And this will always exist.

Yeah Dave, thats is incomprehensible to me, not to concentrate the effort to make one firmware, that is without issues and one CPS, which is really usefull for amateur radio operation :-) Or to hire a nice guy like Roger Clark, so you can see like the OpenGD77 project. :-)

I am absolutely sure that a third company develops the firmware and software. In fact, this CPS is almost identical to Anysecu. I suppose that third company receives orders from the different radio hardware producers, and even directly from Retevis, as a reseller. It will depend on what each company wants to satisfy its customers.
