We are a small group of users of Retevis RT-73 and Kydera CDR-300UV of a Ham Club called Digigrup-EA3 of Catalonia, that we lack some things in the CPS like:

- The configuration of the GPS would have to be channel by channel, right now it is not possible to throw APRS frames and transmit at the same time in a same channel.

- The problem of simple QRG’s slots that you have to turn ON or On instead of SLOT 1 or SLOT 2.

- In the CPS the size of the windows cannot be modified in order to be able to see all the information.

- There are problems opening the CPS in large screen formats.

- In the CPS you cannot delete contact data, channels or TG groups, they can be modified but not deleted.

- You cannot export the contact database either, you can IMPORT, WRITE or COPY, but not delete.

- Non-Chinese or English characters cannot be placed in the CPS.

- It is not possible to scan the VFO, if in the memories, but not in the VFO, neither in analog nor in digital.

Hi Xavi i have answered some of your questions below in Bold Blue

- The configuration of the GPS would have to be channel by channel, right now it is not possible to throw APRS frames and transmit at the same time in a same channel.


Well right now you define a APRS Zone only and add a channel for each of your local repeater for APRS on TS2 including a channel for your Hotspot.

Then you have to manually have to set the GPS to the channel for the repeater your are using.

So if you Radio is set to TG1 to chat , you radio will periodically TX APRS data every 60 sec on the programmed TS2 channel.

This problem have been mentioned to Kydera and that will be the second part of APRS setting. We have asked to look like Anytone setup.


- The problem of simple QRG’s slots that you have to turn ON or On instead of SLOT 1 or SLOT 2.


Well Kydera has to be TS “On” both slot for Simplex operation.



- In the CPS the size of the windows cannot be modified in order to be able to see all the information.


Can you put a screenshot for example of what you are trying to modified. It is like Excel you can resize the column but a bug prevent to retain the formatting when you change screen.
   Font can be change a begining of session and resize the column.  Here is a screen shot take from a Laptop 14"screen

Contact list can be deleted, add, save and import Channel


Ham Contact and Ham Group are only a tool to import CSV TG group list or Private User ID and select what you want to copy to Contact list.

- You cannot export the contact database either, you can IMPORT, WRITE or COPY, but not delete.

Ham Contact is a built Application to deal with the CSV list of contact. It is like the external application that other radio have to manage the CSV files. Kydera instead of having an external apps, it is built in the CPS. Once you import a CSV files and your have written it to Radio, it is gone this cannot be saved in CPS. Or before writing to radio you can check the box for only the id you want and press Copy which will copy your selection to the regular Contact list where your TG are. Contact list is fully editable but Ham Contact is not modifiable in CPS only in CSV.

This one I did not played with Scan on VFO  only with Analog and or Digital channel.

Hello Daniel:

The DMRplus network, in slot 1 is local TG9

Slot 2 transmits on a network throughout Catalonia.

We could activate slot 1 for APRS, but I don't know how to prepare the Kydera to transmit TG 9059 in slot 1 and TG9 in slot 2.

I have made a translation from the CPS into Catalan.



I have only translated all the files from Chinese to Catalan and I select the Chinese language and we see it in Catalan.

It's fixed, I did it with the Windows notebook, now I've opened them with the WorldPad and now I do all work well in the CPS.
