9dec2020z.F136 (238.19 KB) hello fellas wonder if some one can point me in the right direction I have had my cdr-300uv for 2days so I put together a basic codeplug together to test it and have a fault that so far I havent been able to resolve. Just to put you in the picture I have 3 different dmr radios with brandmeister and dmr+ vkhotspot on the other 3 with 2 hotspots one on brandmeister and the other on dmr . With the cdr-300uv all works well except group calls , the analogue tx and rx fine , on dmr testing direct from radio to radio tx and rx perfect , private call through the hotspot (either hotspot) tx is perfect ,RX works perfect , Groupcall tx works perfect through the hotspots but RX the green rx light goes green while the hotspot is rx ing but cant hear the audio and I have not been able to find where I have gone wrong, I will attach a pic of of my front screen ( there is a speaker icon in top left but I think it is for analogue monitor but I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO TURN THE ICON OFF SO FAR. I would appreciate any advise cheers vk3dnh chris

I had a quick look at your codeplug and from what I can see, you don't have any receive groups? You'd typically want a receive group for each group contact you have. E.g Individual Talkgroups. Then in the channel list, select your created receive group (GCL) for each channel. That way the radio will allow audio coming from the talkgroup you have added to the receive group assigned to the current channel. As the radio doesn't really have a promiscuous mode, you can simulate it by creating a receive group and adding up to 250 contacts to it and then assigning that to a channel, then that channel would allow audio for all talkgroups. You could also use this method for all channels to save time creating a group for each individual talkgroup, however that would then allow audio from any received talkgroup, not just for the current channel/talkgroup. For Example; If you have selected a channel created for TG235 and listening on a hotspot/repeater with multiple static (or active dynamic) talkgroups. If you have the receive group set for only TG235, that is the only talkgroup that will play audio when received. If another talkgroup became active, like TG1, then you will not hear the audio unless you switch to the channel assigned to that talkgroup. Using a 'promiscuous' receive group would play the audio from TG1 on the channel for TG235.. which may not be what you want to happen. Sorry if that didn't too make much sense, I was night shift last night and I haven't been to sleep yet haha.. As for the speaker icon, don't worry about it. That is for the current profile (Standard / Silent)

To Dave I greatly appreciated your reply and I was sure your explanation was correct but some where I might have misunderstood the procedure
I am attaching a pic of what I adjusted . GP 12(GROUP LIST) I added 91ww from contact list and GP 13 I added all groupcalls from contact list I tried with GCL with group list GP 12 written to the radio still no audio but green RX LIGHT then tried with GP 13 in GCL (all group calls) same result I wonder whether you might be able to indicate where I have gone wrong
wouldnt let me attach so will send link

The radio has a promiscuous mode. Put "Mandatory mode" on a short key and press it "promiscuous mode on " appears
