hello,
after a while, my turning knob (the one on top of mic connector) is NOT changing channels. The knob itself is ok, as i press to enter the menu, and switching trough menu items with the same knob is working, When selecting volume, and changing it up and down with the knob IS working, but on the main display, when i want to change channels within the zone, is NOT working.
I suppose it some software bug, so if noone has some idea, solution, is it possible to facotyr reset the radio? and how?
regards yt7uf
EDIT: even when proghrammed on preset buttons for up / down .. same situation, everything is working, EXCEPT changing channels.
EDIT #2: in menu > local set there IS factory reset, and the radio is asking me am I sure, and after that it reboots, however NOTHING is changed! all the settings, ID, contacts are still here (even the specific menu settings), so basically it is not doing what it should.
Really what a piece of **** of the radio. would not recommend to anyone!
DID you read that message? If you want help you have to give us more info kydera-ham.boards.net/thread/133/mandatory-firmware-version-required-postingkydera-ham.boards.net/thread/133/mandatory-firmware-version-required-posting

I deleted it.
As if in this radio, it makes any difference what firmware version you are on, for all the bugs already reported across the forum.
And to answer your question, yes, I did reflash it, with old, new, original .. whatever firmware.

Answer to OE3JTB Where is the starting posting? Seems that YT7UF deleted it. He is pissed off because i was asking him what was his Firmware version.
We ask for it when people post an issue so we can load that same FW to try to replicate the issue.
When we do report issue to Kydera the need that info.
Some peoples are loading about anything they can find on the web, not knowing if it will affect the radio or not.
I know Retevis FW can fit our Kydera radio but i just dont use it.
His last comments was also re-edited
Here is parts of his last post: I deleted it, as I was fed up with smart-ass replies like "whats your firmware version" .. as if in this radio it makes ANY difference.
And if anyone presents him/herself as admin, following...
To YT7UF sorry but if you dont want to give us info on your setup them you will have to find help elsewhere.
We are a bunch of volunteer and maintain this board as part of a hobby,
Thanks for reading

Thank you very much! I don't know how this got turned off. The radio is in the car, noone except me is in it, and I did not play with those.
But now, I see the firmware version was very important!
To get back on the channel sw .. what's the idea with it in the first place? if I would like to lock the radio to one channel, will programm it with one channel, one zone. I guess the idea flow of the developing guys will always be a mistery.
Thank you again!

Factory reset does not do anything right now. Kydera knows about it. It is just a soft reset not a Hard Reset to Factory default. One day we may see it implemented...
