I wrote these suggestions in bug reports section (with some bug report) , however to correct the section:
- signal "strength" would be much useful to show ONLY when tx and rx (instead of changing colour!) That way it's much more visible!
- also the power hi/low indicators
- in the CPS, you could make something for users to set "default volume" settings. The reason for this is that default volume 5 is too low for me in the car, while the motor is running, driving etc .. I need to set it up always on 10-12 .. it is not a problem, however, when turning the engine off, and on again, the radio is set back up to
- main knob .. while talking to someone, is much more useful the turning knob to be volume change, and not channel. As someone said, it is a matter of taste, but my suggestion is to make the CPS option that the vol button be user configured (when pressing to change the volume, as it is now, or to change the channel - or to say, what would be default knob function) > DK5BM already suggested "Short press should toggle between channel and volume. Long press should toggle the menu." Also a great idea.
- Zone number, to actually write the name of the zone, it is bit difficult to rememeber what i have put in which zone. I understand lack of space, however txt scrooling would be an option.
- when locking the radio, main knob (for volume purpose!) should be left UNlocked, also A/B button. It is not practical while driving, and the radio is below dashboard, do find the buttons
- I don't understand, if we already have "up" and "down" arrows printed on the keyboard on the mic itself (buttons beside zero) WHY do we need to program P1-P4 keys for the same purpose? Wouldn't it be more locigal to use one already printed? To ask differently, why those aint working?
- when the radio is locked, and I press any key, it says "Put MENU unlock" .. I mean, english is not my native language, but wouldn't it be more nice to say "Press MENU to unlock" ? If it's long for the display, there is enough space if you wrap txt.
that would be all ...
for now
