Hello,
flashed the IAP, flash, and contact list. Settings remained intact, howevery, these are few things I have noticed:
- setting up buttons on the mic (P1-P4, or as in CPS is called P4-P7 (bit confusing!) , when selecting A/B the radio is doing DQT/QT stuff, and when selecting DQT/QT, the radio is doing A/B (like the labels and scripts that are doing the work, are mixed up)
- P4 on my mic is not programable (or maybe it is HW error, this one I am not sure!)
- even when I selected "menu" to be ex. P3 on mic, it works to enter the menu, but cannot lock/unlock the radio (would be usefull)
- when the radio is locked, and I press some button, it says "Put MENU unlock" .. suggest "Press MENU to unlock" maybe wrap txt?
On the other hand, few of suggestions:
- signal "strength" would be much useful to show ONLY when tx and rx (instead of changing colour! much more visible!) also the power hi/low indicators
- in the CPS, you could make something for users to set "default volume" settings. The reason for this is that default volume 5 is too low for me in the car, while the motor is running, driving etc .. I need to set it up always on 10-12 .. it is not a problem, however, when turning the engine off, and on again, the radio is set back up to
- main knob .. while talking to someone, is much more useful the turning knob to be volume change, and not channel. As someone said, it is a matter of taste, but my suggestion is to make the CPS option that the vol button be user configured (when pressing to change the volume, as it is now, or to change the channel - or to say, what would be default knob function)
