Trying to work in a NET environment on an Analog repeater, I found that the squelch would sometimes open and most time not, I also found that if I quickly pressed the PTT then the station was there, I kept changing the Squelch setting down to 1 without success. The only way I could copy all station on the NET was to set the Squelch to 0.
Anyone else found this problem?

Same problem. If the red arrow is pointig into the "active" band the radio don't do anything until PTT is pressed. Then the other band will be dead even you change the arrow to activate it. Only PTT will wake it up. The radio is now working as the "old" dual band radios with the single display.
Was this an issue with the old firmware, too ?

Having the same issue with CTCSS. My workaround was to remove CTCSS on the RX side for now..

Having the same issue!. Reported to Catherine/Kydera together with a lot of problems, but no serious answer, no reactions. It was one of the worst decisions of my life to buy this radio (2pcs.), to much negative experience with one new product. Vy 73, Miklos, HA5CVZ.

Same issues here too brother....I like this radio for its size and functionality but I also realize like any other new product, there are going to be bugs...it might take 3 to 4 FWU's to get it right. If anyone remembers right....the HD1 and the MD380 took a while to get everything dialed in. Also the AnyTone units. Its frustrating but, I believe this will be a good unit in time. IMO...
Thx....73's.....K6QYF

If anyone remembers right....the HD1 ... Please don't use the HD1 as an example. It has received over 60 (!) firmware updates until today

Anytone a perfekt example? I don't think so.... Released the 868 since more than two years. Anytone sells the same hardware (868/878) 2 times or 3 times (878 Plus, only a BT module more).... The only difference is the bootloader and firmware, the hardware is the same. You can turn the 868 into a full 878.
Count the updates for this radio. I think that's an unfair comparison
Just my opinion.

I got some new FW from KYD. Works ok for me. Receiver opens now as it should Firmware deleted ! Please test it. Update: looks like the problem will come back after a few minutes. Is there maybe a sleep timer ? The band with the latest activity is still receiving, the other band is going, in my case, into some inactivity status, even the arrow show it as active.
Update2: after reboot still receiving on both frequencies, even after 10mins. Don't know what it's doing Update3: New firmware, test with this one They're really fast today ADMIN REMOVED LINK

Sorry, but only Admins and Moderators are permitted to release firmware on this forum. This is to minimum issues like the "power on" bug, that effected multiple users when they were quick to update their radio's without firmware being fully tested first.
We are testing the firmware you have been provided from Kydera and it will be released as soon as we confirm there are no major issues.
Thanks for your understanding.

If this is your opinion you have to delete it. I just wonder that no one else reported this essential bug to Kydera before. The latest Aug. 21st firmware should not have been released, as the dual-standby-bug is (was) much more important as a large contact-details window or a missing blank in the startup screen. 73 Bernd DK5BM
PS: after two hours of testing I can finally report that the dual-standby mode is now working perfect. No more inactive 2nd band.

Bernd!, I have reported to Catherine-Kydera this isue on august 11, 2020, i received one reply from Nate, ˇ-that is very strange Miklos, UHF or VHF?ˇ, my answer was: ˇ-the same on VHF or UHFˇ. I think, Nate suspected FW problems, but after FW upgrade the symptoms persist...

I have not tested it with any old FW as I updated to the Aug. 21st firm when I received the radio three days ago.
I sent you a PM.
