just got unit today downloaded ver 2.1 software read radio ok then edit codeplug write to radio now when turned on stays on start-up screen help I think it bricked the radio

just got unit today downloaded ver 2.1 software read radio ok then edit codeplug write to radio now when turned on stays on start-up screen help I think it bricked the radio OK you are probably getting this on power on you  can you post your codeplug here so we can see what was the firmware date on your radio. IF you radio had the early FW then CPS was Ver1.1 that goes with it. Ver 2.1 is later FW. and work only with newer firmware. Did you bought from Kedera or 3rd party vendor. As they should have provided you with the proper CPS that match the original FW. So to Fix it go to download section and get IAP program , this is the firmware updater application kydera-ham.boards.net/thread/17/iap-firmware-updater-program-verthen get this FW and instruction kydera-ham.boards.net/thread/101/latest-firmware-available-03aug2020-21h49m50sFollow instruction to update the radio. let us know how it goes. |
