Kydera are adding CSV file. So your suggestion should be fixed in the next firmware/software update de ZL2NAT

yes, testing firmware this week, then will make public 73 Nate ZL2NAT I also have a question regarding contact database. Where did you get this database and with which program do you export? I'm asking, because I do not need whole contact database. I would like to create my own contact database with my regional contacts inside, with all data filled up in this contact database, because now a lot's of data's are missing. If I just copy and paste contacts and create a new database, I do not get proper identification on my Kydera screen. It should be Call sign and the name with bigger letters, but I get only Call sign twice, Name with smaller letters and country is missing on my screen, so what am I doing wrong ?

I'm using a customized database, also. DACH, means Germany, Austria and Switzerland. So it take only a few minutes to upload in 128bit.
Nobody never needs the "big" database with countries you'll never hear in your life ;-). For my Anytone/TYT radios I always delete all the asian ID's. As for the Kydera radios the upload takes longer as ever, I'm using a KISS database (Keep It Short & Simple).
Don't know why they're still using this #*%! usb/serial converters as they're so slow. TYT/Anytone are doing it better as they're connecting USB direct to the internal processor (in some radios) what will give you 10 times more speed.
It should look like this:
The database is csv with comma seperator. I'm using libre office as ms-excel always open the csv without the seperation menu and often saves the format wrong (I believe this is a regional issue of the used ms-excel version). The correct sequence is important A= ID, B=Call, C=Name etc. It looks like you're using your call two times in your database, in column B and C.
With the database set correct it should look like this
and the database usermd2017.csv can also be used for the Kydera radios as the format is the same.
As the database gets bigger and bigger they modified a lot of information that it'll still match into the MD380/Toolz firmware radios. All the surnames are gone and the regions and countries are shortened.

Hi
Thank you fro your reply, Yes customized database it better than upload whole contacts. I have check you link and its realy great and updated contacts database- Thank you for this! If I understan you correctly, databse should look like this :
I have opened with Libreoffice - Calc with a komma separation and it's looks like the same as my old database. I'm not at home right now, but I will try later this and let you know if this helped.
Let me explain what happaned with my contacts database. I have opened complete databse with CSVED program, deleted all users except Slovenian, save it, upload it, but something get corupted and I get two times callsign on my display as my picture shown, but in databes everything looks normal.
Than I take only 10 contacts, copy them to CSved, save them and upload them - eveyrthing was OK. After that I opened this small databe and only corrected one of the contact to my call sign, name, city, region and SVN, than upload it agan and only my contact was corrupt.. thats very strange...
Anyway I will let you know it with calc work. Regrads

If you're using libre calc don't forget to save as csv. When you're coming to the window were you have to put in the new file name you may need to check "modify filter". A new window will open were you can see if the seperator is really the ",". In an editor the result should look like: 2627984,DK5BM,Bernd,Boeblingen,BW,DE
As soon as you import the database into the CPS you'll see if it is correct.

The usermd2017.csv was a bad idea as I saw now that it contain only 100k ID's. I prepared a new, full database you can upload direct into the 880uv/300uv radio. It's from today with 172.970 ID's.

Add import and export digital contacts in cps software. Same for 880 Do you mean Contacts List or Ham Contacts? Contacts List (TG) you can import and export no problems, Ham Contacts is only Import CSV to push it to the radio.
